Services
At the moment, I can take on remote production needs only. I do not provide in-person sessions or recording services at this time.
All of the core services listed below are done by me. Depending on the nature of your project and our discussions, I may collaborate with another specialized human artist or vendor within my creative network or beyond.

I do not use or condone the use of generative AI or any of its automated derivatives in any of my work. Always human-first, analog-forward, imperfect, and most of all — fun!

Process
INITIAL PREPARATIONS
We’ll start off by having a discussion about your project, needs, and budget. Every project is different and requires their own unique criteria. This will give me a sense of who you are and how I can tailor the mix, master, and design to what fulfills your artistic vision. My goal is to ensure your sound and vision are captured as authentically and precisely as possible. The outcome of our discussion(s) will be consolidated into a creative brief. This will directly inform every subsequent decision moving forward and function as a source of truth for your project. You may have already put something like this together on your own or considered many of these things, in which case, this will simply be a matter of organizing what you have even further. If not, no worries — we’ll build it together.
A reasonable rate, fee schedule, and project timeline that we agree on will be built after our discussion. If you want to work together but are concerned about finances, let’s chat and we can have a conversation about alternative arrangements.
Once everything looks good to you, we can proceed with a file exchange.
THE HANDOVER
For audio, please have final recordings / audio stems ready to go, in a high-quality audio format such as WAV, AIFF, etc. The more stems and recordings you have, the better, but please ensure they are organized and legible! The less work I have to do up front means a more efficient and speedy workflow.Other information and files, such as BPM, tempo, MIDI, time signature changes, and so on, are all also very helpful and crucial to the process. If you have these details, please share them as well!
I will then build a project for you in my DAW. This will kick off the mixing portion of the process. I currently use Logic Pro. Check out the Gear page for a full list of gear and plugins I typically use.
As for design, if you have any visual concepts, artwork, or designs of your own, please share them during this phase as well! We’ll determine how to best curate and arrange what you’ve provided into the final artwork, design, and visual presentation of your work that I’ll craft on your behalf.
From here, we’ll move onto the next phase. Depending on the nature and scale of your project (and if you’re utilizing design services), we may also move onto the design phase as well and work on that in tandem with mixing and mastering.
AUDIO, PHASE 1: MIXING
I’ll spend a bit of time getting to know your raw audio and consider key details from our discussion. Once I get a feel for it, I’ll dive further into the granular, technical aspects. Again, no project is alike, so it’s imperative for me to keep an open mind during this process and let the music speak what it wants to say.We may want reverb on everything, or we may want to make an airtight, compressed record. We may want lots of overdubs and samples, or we may just want a raw and analog sound. Whatever you and the music want is what you get! I can be as hands-on and creative with production as you like, or stick to the formula and intent you have in mind.
I’ll send along updates per our agreed schedule for us to review and listen to playback. These parts of the process are absolutely crucial! The more direct and honest your feedback is, the more equipped I’ll be to figure out an appropriate solution.
If you don’t feel comfortable with technical terms, that’s okay. Simply describe the atmosphere and tone you’re looking to capture, and I’m certain we can figure it out together.
AUDIO, PHASE 1.5: POST-PRODUCTION (OPTIONAL)
At this point, I can add any additional layers of sound design, sampling, or ancillary elements that take your mix one step further. This might include field recordings, found sounds, vocal samples, ambient synth passages, additional guitar / bass tracking, MIDI drums, or other noises. Depending on the nature of what you’re creating, these can add intriguing storytelling elements or shape the sound world you’ve built even further.
Totally up to you, and not a requirement by any means. Some people favor a highly produced sound, others don’t. The difference is like apples and oranges, except both are delicious, so there’s no wrong answers!
AUDIO, PHASE 2: MASTERING
Once you’re satisfied with the mixes, we can move onto the mastering process. This is no dark art, it’s simply the final stage in audio production to give it that extra polish and finesse that will make it ready for streaming, CD, casette, and/or vinyl. With mastering, I’ve often found that less is more. A bit of EQing, balancing sibilance, dynamic compression, and so forth usually gets the job done. But most of all, a good mix usually leads to a great master. It’s important that we nail the mix before stepping into mastering, as this can prevent unnecessary and unfortunate delays.
After mastering, that’s it for audio! Depending on the terms of our agreement, we’ll settle any outstanding payments for this phase of the process, I’ll hand off all the masters to you, and you’re ready to go.
DESIGN, PHASE 1: AESTHETIC STYLE
We’ll start the design process by determining the aesthetic tone and style of your project. This usually consists of creating visual mood boards and key words / phrases. These help set the tone of what you’re trying to visually convey with your music. We’ll use these as a reference point and source of truth if we get stuck later on in the process. The goal is to establish a strong foundation from which we can build an even stronger visual system for you!
Whether you’ve thought about the visual components extensively or not, I’ll find the right solution for you. As with the mastering process, less can be more when it comes to design.
DESIGN, PHASE 2: VISUAL IDENTITY
I’ll take the aesthetic foundation we’ve built and create an identity for your project. This usually includes a logo, color palette, typographic system, and may also include patterns, illustration, photography, motion, video, and more. The mediums and applications ultimately don’t matter as long as they drive the concept and story you’re telling forward. Some or all of the above may be used. No wrong answers, and all are subject to your vision.
While my background in design and visual arts is multidisciplinary, I’m ultimately a one-man shop and can only achieve so much. There may be cases where we’ll collaborate with other artists or specialists — either handpicked from your community or sought out from my own network and beyond — to achieve your goals. This will ultimately be a balancing act of determining the appropriate style and discipline suitable for your needs and budget.
Regardless, we’ll go through several rounds of iterations and feedback together until your identity is honed to its core essence. From there, I’ll package all elements of your identity together and hand them off to you, along with some guidelines and best practices on how to use the system beyond our scope of work together.
DESIGN, PHASE 3: ARTWORK & PACKAGING
The final stage of the design process is creating the artwork, design, and layout for your album cover. These will follow a similar iterative process as above, and may fluctuate on how dynamic or simple they are, depending on the nature of your project and needs. For example, you may already have artwork ready to go and simply need a basic packaging and layout to contain it in. Or you may want to be hands-off with anything visual and let me and whomever else we want to collaborate with handle it. Whatever your wish, I can be flexible with it and make it happen. The earlier we have these conversations, the better, so I can plan accordingly with your release schedule.
If you or your label have vendors in mind you’d like to use to for printing and pressing physical releases, I can send along final files / mechanicals to you in the formats they prefer. If you aren’t sure, I can provide a list of vendors I’ve worked with or find ones suitable for your needs. Again, however I can help or facilitate this portion of the process is up to you.
DESIGN, PHASE 4: PROMO & MERCH
Everyone loves band merch and free advertising. I can design or illustrate whatever you’re into and put it on t-shirts, bottles, enamel pins, stickers, patches, flags, and just about whatever ephemera you can think of. No request is too wild, and I love a compelling challenge anyway.Additionally, if you’d like assistance putting together some assets for your social media, tour posters, or other advertising, let me know and we can figure out an arrangement. Whether it’s a one-off request or an ongoing retainer of work, I’m sure we can figure something out.
